Amber Kovach Talbot joined The Law Office of Todd Beauregard as an associate in the fall of 2012. Although her primary areas of practice are family law and Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 consumer bankruptcy, she is also experienced in civil litigation and criminal law.
She grew up in Littleton, Colorado and spent a few years in Seattle, Washington before moving to Massachusetts in 2001.
Attorney Talbot completed her undergraduate education at the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado in 1999 where she majored in English Literature and Sociology with an emphasis in Criminology. During her time at University of Colorado she volunteered her time working with children and teenagers who were at risk of out-of-home placement and interned at a criminal halfway house.
In 2001 she relocated to New England and attended the New England School of Law in Boston. She attended the evening program while continuing to work full-time until graduating in 2005 with a J.D. After passing the bar she worked out of a small home office and then in 2008 she worked for a firm and worked in many jurisdictions throughout Massachusetts handling mostly family law and Chapter 7 & Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases.
Attorney Talbot is licensed in the State and Federal Courts in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. In addition to her work at The Law Office of Todd Beauregard, she also volunteers as lawyer for the day in the Northeast Housing Court in Lowell and has training and experience working with victims of domestic violence through various pro bono programs in Massachusetts.
Attorney Talbot received her B.A. from the University of Colorado in Boulder Colorado in 1999 with a degree in English Literature and Sociology with an emphasis in Criminology. In 2005 she received her JD from The New England School of Law in Boston.
